csma logo The Farnborough group organises events in the North Hants / SW Surrey area for members of the Civil Service Motoring Association, their families and friends. These activities include a monthly club night, some motor sport and other social activities.

A latest edition of our newsletter, The Filter, has been created in the past few days, and is normally sent as an email attachment. If you haven't registered for this source of news then please contact Ian Moir to get your email address added to the mailing list.
This is the preferred method of issuing our quarterly newsletter, to reduce the mailing costs that would otherwise be incurred!
Printed copies may possibly be available from Ian by special request.

16th February Lunchtime skittles and family event, Mid-day to 4 p.m.
Looking for something to do with the kids this half-term?
For an afternoon the family will love, join us for skittles at the Chilli Pad, Hook Road, North Warnborough, RG29 1ET.
With a purpose built skittle alley and great company, it’s the perfect place to blow away those winter blues!
The event is free; food is available to purchase at the Chilli Pad.

Clubnight - From a harem in Algiers to a Portakabin in Afghanistan!
Join us for a free and insightful talk by author and TV contributor Alan Grace about the past and present work of the British Forces Broadcasting Service.
Along the way, Alan talks about the story of Family Favourites and plays a clip of the last broadcast by William Joyce (aka Lord Haw Haw).

  15th March  Project AIM - Lap it up at Team Sport Indoor Karting Circuit, Lyon Way, Frimley,
Surrey, GU16 7ER!

Our Karting Evening offers you the chance to take to the track in 200 cc karts and to reach speeds of 40 mph. Not sure what to expect?

Hants and Berks Motor Club has a full programme of events to which csma Farnborough Group are invited.

The details will be converted into entries on this page as and when I can glean them from the committee minutes, the Filter, from the organiser (hint!) or even perhaps "Motoring & Leisure".

Always Wanted

1) Reports of club/group events, etc., in fact anything that you think would be of interest to our readership should be in these pages.
Ian Moir, the editor of our quarterly newsletter Farnborough Filter would also appreciate such reports as well.
If you want to have your say here, please let us have your 'content', either by hand, post or electronically - photos, text and sketches, etc. can be scanned and returned. 

2) Ideas - if you have any ideas for possible activities, not necessarily motor sport oriented, please contact any member of the committee.
Even better - how about volunteering to organise something yourself; a different club night or an outing.
Any ideas you may have are welcome, but please don't start any serious preparatory work before seeking the advice of a committee member.
